Went on Restasts; all was well up until several months ago when burning itching, etc began. Stopped taking the med and began doing extensive research about the disease. Have since stopped the Restasis and am using an OTC that was highly recommended and problems have pretty much ceased. Being on SS I also could no longer afford the co-pay (over $200 in my area).I seriously question my doctor putting me on Restasis now that I've found an OTC that is working. Many friends over the past year or so have received the same diagnosis; beginning to think this is the new "in disease" with Restasis the new go-to drug. I kept trying, and now it is so bad that I have a problem seeing in the morning for almost an hour. They burn, and the same at night. Like others, my hair is coming out in my hands and it is hard to even go outside now because of the pain. It wasn't like this before. Also went to the doctor about my sinus problems that started about the time I started taking this. I decided to trust my Dr.'s advice, had an infusion in 2013, and had no reaction at all. Followed up with infusions in 2014 and 2015. scan in 2016 showed 17% increase in density from baseline.
