| 1 | cold & flu | I was taking plain mucinex 12 hour for a flu type cold. I was drinking a ton of water with it, too. My nose was plugged and I didn't want the post nasal going into my lungs. This stuff created so much mucus that I woke up choking. It also caused lung irritation in the beginning. I have taken this in the past and it really never worked for me. I think I will just stick with my antibiotic and nasal spray for now. In my opinion this stuff is not effective. | Caused excess mucus. This stuff is just awful.
