| 4 | Congestion/cold | It really does help much better than comparables! However I have had some side effects. The liquid congestion one gave me the jitters a bit, but the cough/cold/flu did not. Why idk?! However I have been having some very bizarre disturbingly unpleasant dreams while taking the medicine, but at least I can breathe better, have less ear, throat, &facial pain and my cough has a taken a break. So I can live with the jitters and the dreams but due to the cost and 4 hr dosing, I'll only take when I'm really sick. So he tells them to take mucinex and hopes they will read the directions and drink more water than usual. I am now seeing a different doctor; we had a discussion on my first appointment and made certain we were both on the 'same page' - that I was to be given the advice that is truely felt to be that which will help me to get better faster. So I ran to the bathroom and made myself vomit to get it out of my system and that didn't work no matter how much I vomit. So I got my husband to walk around the block with because I was really panicking. I didn't make it very far until I started feeling like I couldn't catch my breath... I walk then have to stop to take my breath I say a sentence and in the middle I have to catch my breath. I don't have any breathing problems and My health is very good. Ended up taking my daughter asthma pump and it worked and I'm surprised because I don't have asthma. At night I had chills and heat flash and heart hurt with movement tossing and turning while sleep feel so cold wake at 2 in the AM to take the hottest shower I ever took and it felt awesome. Throat is irritated now it hurts to cough. Was drinking lots of grapefruit juice. Didn't realize at that time, that grapefruit juice can increase absorption of some medications. I developed severe anxiety and went to the ER for it. Was put on Xanax it made things worse and then was put on Ativan. It took me about 3 months to recover fully. I don't know what happened but I believe it started with the Mucinex. It was one of the worst periods of my life, - intense anxiety, panic and the fear I was losing my mind.
