I dont drink alcohol AT ALL, yet I feel like I just went out amd got drunk for days on end. I do NOT like the feeling i get from this. This pill contained only guaifenesin. I went to see my Dr. because I had chest pain/ tightness, and I began having difficulty breathing. My Dr sent me to the ER for further testing, since my heart was also racing. My tests came back fine and right around the time the mucinex wore off, I was finally able to catch my breath. I did not make the connection until speaking to my sister-in-law and learning she too went to the ER for breathing difficulty after taking the same medication. Mucinex needs to add a warning that shortness of breath may occur.
