I took 10 doses over 5 days and my lips and palms are cracked and scratchy 3 days after the last dose. BUT I rather much hyperactivity than the hallucinations and mood changes I keep reading about. She has a cough and a slight runny nose, not as bad as yesterday. And I’m glad she’s happy at least. | Would def use again. I think people are mistaking this medicine to cure the flu, but it’s used to shorten to duration of the illness by 1 and a half days. I’m currently 25 weeks pregnant and yes, I did get my flu shot in September. I took the pills once a day for 3 days only and felt horrible stomach cramping! I was more worried about taking the drug than the flu exposure. I actually stopped taking it. There just isn’t enough studies the medicine is safe and like i said, I got my shot months back. The medicine made me have night sweats, worry, stomach cramps, dizzy, and stomach gurgling. Dr wanted me to take the pills for 10 days and I just couldn’t do it! Followed my heart and listened to my body and said screw this, 3 days is enough for me! At least I tried and took it for those 3 days and felt some what protected while my daughter fought hers off with the help of the tamiflu. She took hers twice a day for 5 days and took an antibiotic for strep throat infection she had also. She broke her fever after 3 days. I took the pills for those 3 days too. So for her it worked and for me it protected me while she was sick. I would maybe recommend it for someone but don’t take it for so many days. It's been 4 months since she took Tamiflu and she is still having digestive problems. Three months after taking it she was hospitalized 6 days for chronic constipation which she had never had before being on Tamiflu. The doctors blamed it on the flu virus slowing down her digestive system (an ileus) but even after constipation was relieved she is still having nausea everyday, looks pale, can't eat much, and loss of appetite a month after leaving the hospital. Initially in January she threw up and had diarrhea one day during the flu while on Tamiflu. Her stomach and intestines haven't been the same since. Has missed her 2nd semester of 10th grade. Tamiflu should not be on the market, it can be very dangerous to some people especially children.
