MIFEPREX  (MIFEPRISTONE):  This medication is used to control high blood sugar in people who have a certain condition (Cushing's syndrome), and who have failed surgery or cannot have surgery to correct the condition. Cushing's syndrome is caused by the body producing too much of a certain hormone (cortisol) which can cause glucose intolerance or type 2 diabetes.  1  Termination DO NOT TAKE THIS IF YOU HAVE A SENSITIVE BODY!!!!! I was rushed to emergency after a tight chest, couldn't breathe and pain in my mouth. Allergic reaction! I am now on hour 7 with bad but manageable cramps. When I say I was really in so much pain, it felt like labour pains. Honestly, go for surgery or not at all! Would never recommend this option to anyone. F 28 1 days

1  Termination Extreme nausea, intense shaking, fever, excruciating pain. The most intense pain I've ever felt after taking the 4 tablets 48hrs after the 1st dose. I do not recommend this product, the pain is horrific - almost unbearable. I'm not writing this to scare people, just to warn them of the potential for pain taking this medication. I highly recommend strong pain killers, and having a support person with you. F 31 3 days

3  Abortion (4 weeks) If you're taking this prescription to abort a pregnancy, Listen up! I want to share my real experience, as I was in the very same shoes you are right now. I went to a clinic that offered the abortion pill and received an ultrasound of what appeared to be a super early pregnancy. I was estimated to be between 3-4 weeks. They gave me the first pill, Mifepristone, and this was super easy. I was told not to expect any bleeding or cramping, but 24 hours later I was definitely starting to spot and cramp more so than I already had been. I went ahead and took 2 Extra Strength Tylenols and Ibuprofen, due to the misery I put myself through reading all these reviews, followed by the 4 Misopristol pills about 30 minutes later. It is to be taken 24-48 hours after the first pill. These pills are kept in your gum for roughly 30 minutes to immediately enter the bloodstream. My cramps got pretty severe after about an hour, along with heavy bleeding. I'm typing this now on hour 5 and my cramps are manageable but still pretty bad. If I could describe the feeling, it's like the worst period I have ever had. Pain meds definitely help but if I could recommend anything it is HEATING BAD & FLUIDS!!!!!!! Every single body is different so you'll react in all various ways. I know it's super scary, but it's only temporary and your body is stronger than you think. Pick F 24 2 days

3  Unplanned pregnancy I took the pill at the clinic first parent planhood and then nothing happen the next day took the second pill. And it was hours later I was cramping and I slept a little but no blood and the next day a little cramp but no blood. Nothing happen a week later I had bad cramps from 2am - 11 am I went to the Er and they couldn't find what was wrong but finally told me I was in labor. And they had me lay on the table why they pulled out the clots and told me I had to retake the pills all over to clear everything out. Parent plannedhood in Westminster sucks they didn't do anything but tell me to wait It worked as far as got rid of it but it was suppose to clear me out to and it did not F 30 2 days

5  Abortion Everyone's leaving a review about their own personal experiences, please stop telling people what will happen or what they should do because everyone's body is different. I was literally terrified to go through this process because of all the horror reviews I read. But my experience was so mild I was scared it didn't even work. I took the first pill with the doctor at 3pm, came home and by the night time I had some light bleeding. No cramping. 24 hours later, I took ibuprofen 800 30 minutes before taking the second dose of pills (2 in each cheek) I let them dissolve 30 minutes and swallowed the rest. I laid down and awaited my demise lol but literally guys these cramps were lighter than regular period cramps. I did experience some nausea and threw up my dinner, but I had been nauseas from the pregnancy every day so idk which to blame. After about 30 minutes I passed the sac, a few hours later a few more small clots and one more medium sized one. The next day was just bleeding of a heavy period. No bad cramps or major discomfort. More so the emotional pain and concern. Again everyone's body is different. Don't be afraid from someone's horror story because yours may be smooth sailing. And don't get too amped up over someone's smooth sailing because yours might not be that way. Either way you will make it through! You got this girl F 29 1 days

5  Abortion Intense cramping. I did not have any side effects at alll. I am very glad I did it this way. I went to planned parenthood on Saturday and I took the first pill at the clinic and 24 hours later took the 4 cheek pills and let it dissolve 30 minutes. At exactly 30 minutes I started feeling the cramping and the sac came out. The heavy flow lasted 3 hours. After the heavy flow it was just like a light period. The cramping was very intense was not able to fall asleep but took 3 Tylenol and it knocked me right out. The following day I felt like myself and went to work. F 22 2 days

5  Medical Abortion Nausea, cramps I went to the clinic Thursday morning. They did an ultrasound. I was 8 weeks and 1 day. They did my labs to make sure I wasn’t anemic. I had to watch a short video and counseling session to make sure it was really what I wanted. At 1:30pm I took my first pill at the clinic. I went about my day with no side effects. I ate dinner around 4pm Friday and started to have some bleeding. After I ate, I took the prescribed pain medicine and nausea medicine. I waited 30 minutes for it to kick in. At 6pm I took the 4 pills (2 in each cheek) and waited another 30 minutes. I swallowed the remainder of them and almost IMMEDIATELY I feel the pains and nausea. About 15 minutes later, I got sick and that was the end of my nausea. The cramps were bad but they were not unbearable! I took 2 Tylenol extra strengths and used my heating pad. The cramps came and went for a few hours. At 10:30pm I got sick again and the cramps were getting worse. I felt another big fish of blood. At 10:45 the biggest “clot” I had came out and I distinctly knew it was the sac. Immediately after the cramps, nausea, everything was completely gone. I got a good night sleep and got up the next morning feeling 100% back to normal. Since then I have had very light bleeding. I got back for another check up Friday to make sure everything worked. I worked myself up reading all the reviews. I was terrified to take the pills. Ultimately I am very pleased with the process. For someone that does not do pain very well F 22 2 days

4  Abortion Intense cramping, feeling very warm I've had to use this method twice because, as we know condoms are not the best, and I was told by the lady that I would have terrible pains. There was another lady the first time who said that I am basically going through labor, therefore, I would get the same pains as a woman in labor would get. They tried to give me Tylenol with codeine but I refused it, seeing as I couldn't pay for it. They told me it would be worse pain if I didn't. It was absolutely TERRIBLE. I had I take it at night and I got NO sleep. However, I will say the cramps went away with the help of ibuprofen and a heating pad and after a few hours they were normal cramps and then gone. Although, each person has a different pain tolerance, so not everyone will feel the exact pain I felt. F 20 1 days

4  Medical Abortion Brief Fever, Itching, and Redness Severe Cramps Severe Fatigue Dizziness Nausea Vomiting Headache Muscle weakness Severe Diarrhea I took Mifeprex (the first pill) at my local Planned Parenthood, was all good except for some really slight cramping. As instructed 24 hours later I took the Misoprostol tablets, holding 2 in each cheek for 30 min. They don't completely dissolve in that time, so I swallowed what was left. While I was waiting, maybe 10-15 min into it, I started to feel the familiar pain of regular period cramps, every minute after the pain got worse. At that point it was just moderately increasing cramps, and what felt like gas pain/ diarrhea. At maybe minute 28 I drag myself to the bathroom, which was hella harder than it should have been due to extreme fatigue. Basically, rode waves of seriously intense pain. They say that your supposed to have an experience similar to your worst period, I don't know whose period I was channeling because I have NEVER EVER had a period remotely equal to this. I felt my face get hot, so much so I had to lean my face against the wall. My skin was burning hot. My palms started to feel the same way, swollen, itchy, and hot. It was hard to breathe, my chest was tight. I was shaking like a leaf in a blender on high. Luckily, common sense berated me into walking. I could barely stand my legs shook so much. Mash Emergency Care was less than a block away, normal walking distance. Figured can't hurt. Severe shakes turned a 3 minute walk into 15 min. Any smell close enough made me sick. Not so elegantly I sprawled on to the reception desk, signed in, and wait F 24 2 days

5  Abortion Cramps bleeding nausea I was only 3 weeks and 2 days pregnant but the ultrasound woman lied and told me I was 6 weeks and 6 days which I knew was impossible. They do this to get more money out of you. Took the first pill mifepristone at the clinic and felt nothing at all. Took mifeprex the next day at 4:30 held them in my cheeks for about 10 mins. Cramps started to set in about an hour and a half later so I took 2 ibuprofen. Another 30 mins and the cramps start to get worse and worse then the ibuprofen sets in and they subside to mild cramps. I laid in bed watching TV for about 3 hours waiting on the bleeding to start and eventually around 10:00 is when I started to bleed. I had small clots and mild bleeding due to not being that far long I'm guessing. I bled moderately all night and when I woke up the worst was over. After that my nausea was gone (thank god) and I spotted for about 2 weeks then got a very mild period a week after that. Overall my experience was easy and not bad at all. F 23 1 days

5  6-7 weeks pregnant For anyone taking Mifeprex, 800mg of Ibuprofen will not help you with these types of cramps. The cramps are very strong labor cramps. You need to take another strong type of medication with it and you will be fine. Be somewhere comfortable and make sure you are on a full tummy. People do not understand that Ibuprofen alone will do nothing for you. Put on a maxipad. Take some STRONG medicine. And sleep it all away! I had a good experience, I was knocked out the whole time and I did not go through any of those horrible stories I have read. I did have 1 huge clot when I woke up. It will not be as fast as the surgical, but it is much less invasive in my opinion. I took it a couple of days ago and now I am having what feels like a regular period. I have not gone to the follow up yet. All i want to say is Dont be scared, girls. And I wish all of you the best. This is what worked for me. F 19 1 days

5  6 weeks pregnant / medical abortion I took the first pill of mifeprex in planned parenthood ct on day one felt pretty nauseous. then four others at home in cheek n gum two each side abiut 34 hrs later.. I was prepared for the worst after reading so many frightening outcomes but after disolving the four pills at 1115pm I felt nauseated so I laid down around 11:40pm. fell aslp and woke up at 2 am my husband asked if I was ok I said yes nothing is happening I feel fine I figured it didn't work. so I went back to bed and woke again at 440 had to pee still no pain no cramping nothing. I did have a bloody pad on and after peeing I felt a gush of blood than a good size clot came out and then I had cramping and it was over. no side effects just slight nauseous. I was so worked up and terrified to take the remaining four pills I was crying and ill over the whole thing. I am a mother of four this was a big accident but I feel ok. not all that much bleeding either. just do it and you will have your own experience. everyone is diff but id say try not to work yourself up by reading everyone elses experience on here. you are promted to seek medical help right away if you have certain issues. you will be ok as most have. thank you F 32 1 days

Then I had my ultrasound the lady could not see the pregnancy so a vaginal ultrasound had to be done I was 4wks 6 day. I took the first pill at the clinic no problems at all I went about my as usual. The next day I took the other 4 pills vaginally with 30 minutes I experience the worst cramps in my life. I need a heating pad to help with the pain within 4 hours I was better. By the next day I was fine and went to work on that Monday. Two weeks later for my check up was postponed because I was bleeding. A week later I went back for my check up and everything was good. A month later I had a period I thought everything was back to normal. It has almost been 6 months and I had bleed everyday for 4 months straight. F 29 1 days
