I really thought I was losing my mind. I told my husband there's got to be a correlation with this new medication. Then I stumbled upon this blog and thank God I did! My heart started pounding, my heart rate increased, started having terrible leg pains, pains near my kidneys, fatigue, chest pain, anxiety and dizziness. I knew it was this because I don't take anything other than this. I went to the doctor told me everything was fine but had me fitted for a heart monitor just in case. I've have these terrible reactions to ppis also but they were never as bad as this. Pepcid AC takes the cake on all of them, I can't believe how bad the side effects can get. I went from working out and weight training six days a week to maybe two because of how scary my heart issues are. Had to take it a few days ago and I knew I would get mad side effects from it (due to past experiences) but I had no choice since my reflux prevented me from having any sleep. I took it for 2 days and surprisingly no side effects on those 2 days i took it, but 2 days later I got the side effects (starting from yesterday). All tests came back normal but was showing some PVCs on monitor. EKG was normal, all blood work and cardiac enzymes normal, CXR normal. I stopped taking Pepcid that day.
