| 3 | gum disease | I am not sure it is the Peridex but I am getting red, burning patches on my face around my mouth and chin when using Peridex. It does leave the mouth very dry but I avoid the bad taste by rinsing only my tongue after use. Just stick out tongue and pour water over it. | After reading the side effects, I am thoroughly puzzled since it seems to cause exactly what it should be preventing.
