I went to ER and dr said it looked like I had a heart attack 2 weeks prior from EKG. I had and CT brain scan and that was fine. I saw a cardiologist and he said heart is normal. My joints also ache. My brain feels heavy and tight and I'm dizzy. I hate this feeling. I didn't know this page existed and I'm glad to know that I'm not crazy! I traced back to when I started taking this drug. I was put on it and Effexor at the same time. On my own, I chose to stop this and the Effexor just to see if it would help. That was 3 days ago. I've went to bed pain free the last 2 nights. I'm feeling much better so far. After reading all these reviews, I feel certain it was this drug making things worse. If you are experiencing this, stop the drug!! I gave up coffee in spring 2019 and slowly weaned myself off the drug without any issue. However, in March 2020, 7.5 months later, I started having severe GERD symptoms again (particularly the intense chest pain that radiates to the shoulder blades), as well as the constant burping and coughing. In 2020 I was at ER twice for chest pain, I've had two ECGs, a chest x-ray, a heart stress test, and the breath test for H. Pylori. Knock on wood, all those results came back fine. However, this go-round of Pantaloc has NOT been successful in controlling my symptoms, even though I made the diet and exercise changes MANY months ago. Now I seem to be experiencing a great deal of anxiety, which is new to me, along with ringing in my ears and skin tingling. Today (Feb 18/21) is particularly bad, with no other reason that I can think of than the pantoprazole. Finding this site has been a godsend! I will be weaning myself off this drug, though really don't know how I will be able to manage the GERD symptoms after that, given that diet/exercise so far are not helping. (I was off the drug for 6 weeks in the fall, before the H. Pylori test, but started taking it again because of the recurring GERD chest pain and other symptoms.)
