I started on 0.25mg once weekly and have now titrated up to 2.0mg once weekly. Side effects were all there but I expected them after reading about it. Dr prescribed me anti-sickness tablets, Lansoprazole for acid reflux and Fibre satchets for constipation. Side effects wore off after the 2nd week of the same dose until going up doseage, then they would come back but each time a bit better. I am now in month 3 and no longer have to use the anti-sickness meds. I do take Lansoprazole daily as sometimes acid reflux/heartburn can creep up unexpectedly if I don't. I have lost 2 stone since starting Ozempic, which for me is a miracle. I spent years yoyo dieting and working out to very little weight loss leading to binge-eating. Ozempic stops me from craving food, it stops me from being obsessed with it. I can actually eat a small portion of food and feel full. I no longer have the feeling to overeat, it doesn't interest me anymore. I feel amazing, I've lost my double chin and although I still have a couple of stone to go, I am a different person. Yes, the side effects in the beginning are tough, but you can pull through it if you have faith in yourself and stock up on the correct medication to help ease them. They don't last forever, they get easier with each injection. I eat whatever I like. I just can't eat the amount in one go that I used to.
