| 1 | Skin yeast | I won’t ever take this drug again. For the first 24 hours my chest felt tight like I had asthma. Then I had what I assume is gas pain on my left side from waist to shoulder blade. This lasted for another 6 days. I only took one 150 mg dose. Horrible drug. A couple days later, I got painful sores on my vagina and on the inside of my mouth, along with a sore/burning tongue. The doctor thought it was related to the high doses of Bactrim I was taking, and switched me to another med. Fast forward to now, I get a yeast infection after spending two days in a bathing suit at a water park. Doctor prescribes Diflucan. A few hours after taking the 1st dose, I started getting vaginal blisters again. I only took the first dose--the next is due tomorrow, and I'm not going to take it. At this point, I have several painful, open sores on both my vagina and my mouth. Since this is the only thing I took this time, I know it's from the Diflucan. With each subsequent use, I would experience a burning,tingly, itching sensation with notable redness and edema to the upper and lower lip area, as well as to the lower mandible and nose. The sensations are comparable to an onset of a cold sore outbreak. Within days, the skin begins to dry and peel and eventually, heel with no notable scarring or pigmentation.
