Helps relief burning sensation of gastritis

Only side effect was dehydration and weight loss.

Well worth taking.Nausea is less and stomach pain is tolerable. It does take a bit of work to keep up with the dosing schedule.

Lethargic, sleepiness

This medication is horrible! I was taking it for GERD (like i have in the past...except i took a white pill before... i didnt get any side effects and it healed me) now, I got the pink pills and they have absolutely made me far worse than i ever was. I have severe, watery diarrhea, headaches, dizziness, floating sensations, intense gas, and shaking. I just want to get better. I feel so awful. This pink carafate pill has ruined my life :''(

They are very hard to swallow. I choked a few times and had to resort to dissolving them completely in water and drinking it.

Tingling and numbness in my left wrist, fingers, elbow, and upper arm feeling like squeezing, was thinking it was a heart problem but after seeing this the reviews l have the same thing as someone else. I also hope it’s not a dangerous side affect

It stopped the pain , but it makes food taste terrible, mine is the liquid and its 10 mls 4 x per day ..but when I woke up this morning my front of my neck hurt so bad . So I don't know it's day 2 ..and the only thing i like is no pain

Mouth watery,metallic taste mild stomach ache but tolerable, from 10 mg 2x a day Im cutting down cause I also take 40 of nexium and I eat bland foods

After taking Omeprazole and other PPIs, I was having little no relief for an entire 6 weeks. My doctor put me on this and I’m so glad he did! My ulcers were cleared up and I finally feel like myself again. I can eat more and my appetite returned. Definitely recommend to anyone suffering the same problem!

Maybe I'm not on it long enough? But sometimes it will actually activate the heartburn when not having any! I also feel extremely shaky and nervous and weak a few hours after taking it. THAT could be mental as I have anxiety, but this seems different somehow. Hey, I don't mind the taste at all! To me it tastes like a liquid form of those Smartie candies! I was only prescribed it for 10 days, doctor seems to think my severe stress is causing an overload of acid. I will take it the whole 10 days, maybe it's just not in my system enough yet.

None had to stop taking because it was covered by my insurance and cost me $50 through Humana and one day when I went to refill the liquid version was $2000. The man next to me with United Heath Care had the same problem.

Anyone know the reason for the huge jump in cost for the liquid version

I can't say that it makes me feel better when taking it. But when I have a flare up and I stop taking it after 2 weeks I feel better. I tried not taking it at all with a flare up and flare up doesn't go away. I guess it helps.

None that i know of when i take it takes shortness ofbreath away

it has helped my ulcers and my esophagus, but it has left me with shortness of breath and I've had a very hard time breathing. so I have to find another solution and stop taking it

Dry throat when swallowing.

Complete cure. Heartburn cured.

It seems to help the pain and nausea from gastritis but I have trouble functioning with side effects. I am only taking 1 ml, rx says 10 and doctor told me to take 2 ml because I am underweight and very sensitive to meds

Slight nausea but I was also given pepsid, valium and morphine. Perhaps the combination caused nausea.

I'd never heard of it until that ER visit.

Mouth dryness was very distracting, tried to decrease. Was able to almost get off carafte, but after bronchitis and asthma , symptoms came back with a vegence. Burning in esophagus, gi distress, inner tremors and brain fog. Can't take ppi's, so I'll have to live with symptoms. Glad I found this site and learned others have similar side effects!

Back pain still get a bit of heartburn and ingestion dizziness hot fever
