I can honestly say that I think this medication helped me tremendously. As with any antidepressant, I was worried about weight gain, but I did not have a problem losing weight (at least initially) while I was on it. When I did start gaining weight after being on it for about 5 years, my doctor tried blaming the medication and switched me to wellbutrin (which I hated). I have since realized that the weight I have gained was due to a different health issue and had nothing to do with the Celexa.
