| 2 | Warts | I started using Condyline as prescribed without any warning about possible side effects. Some warts are not very easy for me to see so I had to apply the solution a bit randomly. Yesterday it was the third day of treatment and I started to feel quite a bit of pain. Today was the first day off and the burning is unbearable, area around the warts turned completely white and it smells quite bad, I cannot even walk. Not even sure if any of the wart is gone because it is a mess down there, not even sure what I can do to fix the skin now | Horribly painful | F | 32 | 4 days 2X day | 5/26/2022 | 1 | Genital and anal warts | Burns, skin shedding | I used it twice a day for 2 days (1st cycle). By the 3rd day, I could hardly stand the pain. Probably worst pain of my life tbh so I chose not to continue with the treatment. The burns were intense although I did apply as directed I think. I came across advice on this website which helped me tremendously! So thank you guys!! So here is my advice incase it’s useful to someone else: I washed the wounds with warm salt water 3 times a day. There is a lot of skin that sheds so also used a dove bar soap ( unperfumed) over the course of 4 days. Afterwards, applied loads of Vaseline. It's day 5 and I finally feel like I am getting back to myself. I can somewhat sit properly and also sleep better. The warts are gone but I will not be doing this treatment again. I will look into other methods. Day 1 it stung when I put the medicine on, day 2 the warts turned white and I had discomfort when moving throughout the day, day 3 my labia started bleeding and there was ooze everywhere?? As well as the pain and discomfort. Day 4 (first rest day) was the worst day of my life, the pain was so unbearable, I couldn't move or it would burn I was crying constantly. After reading some reviews I saw people used savlon and salt soaks, which did help reduce the pain but did not take it away. I was going to go to the hospital for the pain, but I physically could not walk to the car:( I do not know how I managed to get through it. I'm on day 5 now and I woke up early due to the pain (idk how I was able to sleep) there was yellow ooze everywhere, which I assume is my skin melting off?? My labia is also bleeding a lot more. I'm not even sure if all my warts have come off I think some have?? This is the worst experience of my life, do anything but this!! The vulvar skin never healed and I had to have reconstructive surgery b/c the "acid" I will call it burned me to pieces. It did great, but afterwards I continued to feel itching around my vaginal area. Went to the dr, and she said it was a yeast from the antibiotic. Most of the itch went away with yeast infection meds, but a little didn't. The problem is I put the gel on healthy skin, and it caused a itch that has never went away. I am not sure if it's a yeast or bacteria from the gel that will not go away. The doctors bounced me around from doctor to doctor, and one even did a biopsy to check for cancer. It was obvious the outbreak was genital warts, but in my opinion, the doctors saw an opportunity to remove money from my wallet and my insurance company. Do not use Aldara - VERY expensive, and very ineffective. The last doctor finally reluctantly prescribed Condylox. He warmed me it would be painful. It can be painful, but it is not bad. You must be careful to not get the medication on uninfected skin - it will burn the skin. The treatment seems to kill skin cells, both infected, and non-infected if it contacts them. Follow the instructions - two treatments a day for three days, followed by four days of non-treatment. Wash and keep the area very clean. I had about 20 small warts and a few larger ones. I was unable to target the small ones due to difficulty reaching the anal area. I applied the soultion on normal skin over the three day period, which is where I experienced rawness and pain. I am currently on the second phase, clearing up the ones which did not fully disappear. I find that there is swelling which I may have confused as warts prior to the second stage. I waited five and a half days to begin the second stage and swelling cleared. Very effective. | Condylox worked great for me. It cleared about 95% of my warts after the first stage. I am working on my second stage and it looks better everyday. Remember to be patient and use care when applying the product. I believe that the pain associated with this treatment is due to its application on normal skin, as it seems to deteriorate it. I will say the i have done 2 separate treatment weeks. the first upon initial diagnosis, and the second about a month later upon return. The sooner you use the gel on emerging bumps, the quicker it works and the less side effects you have. Also, it seems to limit the spread when applied early. I seem to be fortunate that this has been my only treatment option as it works.
