1  diverticulitis Hideous!! Mental and physical. In hospital, didn't even know what I was on. Never felt so messed up mentally or physically. Admitted to hospital 8/25 and given IV Levoquin and discharged 8/28/12 with oral meds. 8/31 started to get pain behind both knees. 9/1 I could barely walk. Legs wouldn't straighten and arms wouldn't bend. I could not get my hands to my face. Extreme pain and inability to perform normally. I contacted my surgeon who said she had never heard of this problem with Levoquin. I contacted the pharmacist who was very reticent to discuss this issue but put in the computer that I was never to take this med again. Told my Family Dr. who said that he was very familiar with the complications with this med. Also talked to other pharmacists about this who were familiar with this. Almost 2 months later and I am still suffering. Legs are a little better. Left shoulder a little better. Right shoulder a mess. Extremely painful and dibilitating. Pain makes m THIS DRUG IS DEADLY!!! SHOULD NOT EVER BE PRESCRIBED IN MY OPINION. I HOPE I WILL FEEL NORMAL AGAIN LIKE I DID BEFORE I WAS GIVEN LEVOQUIN BUT I DOUBT IT. F 65 9 days

1  diverticulitis 4 months later and I am still experiencing pain and weakness in my legs. Feels like a golf ball behind my left knee and a tight 6 in wide rubber band around the area above my knees. Torn rotator cuff in my right shoulder as shown by the MRI and alot of pain still in my left shoulder but didn't have an MRI on that (yet). Balance seems to be off, eyes feel like I am stoned and feel foggy and exhausted all the time. Feel 10 yrs older than I did before I was on this med (Levoquin). No one seems to care or believe me about the effects of this med except other people who have been on it. I feel I will never feel the way I did before. I am DAM mad about this and will do all I can to see that no one else ever has to take this medication. F 65 10 days
