| 3 | Ulcers, stomach acid | Weakness, dizzy spells but the worst is now being off it a year severe MUSCLE pains/aches/spasms continue. I don't know what they are but my muscles hurt all the time they just ache badly!! I had severe stomach pains and vomiting due to ulcers, dexilant helped so much after the 10 days to kick in....maybe the severity, I was puking blood! It worked to stop all that and let me eat again but the muscle pain started after 30 days, and now year half later still continues everyday. He said the only way to know if a medicine has any side effects is to stop taking it and see if symptoms go away and upon stopping Dexilant, I did start feeling normal. I could not tolerate Prilosec or Nexium, so this was next choice that insurance would cover. After a few months I noticed the side effects starting to creep in. I couldn't figure out why I was having insomnia until I looked up the side effects for this. My stomach started bloating really badly after eating, gas with everything i ate, and loose stools and diarrhea. I tried to just stop taking it, but got really bad reflux returning.
