I do only take it when I have pain not every day but when I do have sharp Arthritic pain I take it and voila in a couple hours I feel much better. I had tried taking over-the-counter Ibuprofen and Naproxen but in both instances they gave me such unpleasant gastrointestinal side effects that I had to quit after a few days. My Urologist then recommended Celebrex as an alternative. I have been taking 200mg 2x a day and it really takes the edge off the pain just as effectively or better than the other NSAIDs but without the GI side effects. It has gotten rid of alot of the swelling/inflammation as well.
