ARAVA  (LEFLUNOMIDE):  This medication is used to treat rheumatoid arthritis, a condition in which the body's defense system (immune system) fails to recognize the body as itself and attacks the healthy tissues around the joints. Leflunomide helps to reduce the joint damage/pain/swelling and helps you to move better.  3  RA Bad Diarrhea setting in after 15 months of use. I started taking it because Methotraxate which had worked very well for 10 years had stopped working. I am taking Arava together with Nivaquin. F 43 2 years

 4  rheumatoid arthritis Rashes that I know are related. I can stop Arava and the rash disappears. When I start it again, the rash comes back ...mostly in the neck and lower leg areas. Works great on RA, but the publicity scares me. M 54 1.5 years

 3  Rheumatoid Arthritis In the early days, some hair loss. At this point, 2 yrs into the therapy, hair loss has stopped. I can not be sure if it is working or not, I take other RA drugs and this is a companion drug. I take Enbrel and this is like Methotrextrate, since I cannot take MXT. Easier on me than MXT, which was real bad. Doc and I are not sure of if this drug is really working for me or not, since I take other F 58 2 years
