Loss of libido was the biggest one which I was aware could happen, but it wasn't until a couple weeks in that I began to have a bit of numbness and difficulty gaining an erection. But the decrease in testosterone I attribute to taking propecia in the first place. The testosterone has elevated my libido slightly, but if I stop taking propecia, maybe it will get even better. I stopped using the testosterone gel for a while and my T level dropped to 100. I not only was not interested in sex, but I wasn't even interested in getting out of bed, so I went back on the gel. Now I don't really care that much about hair loss, but I don't want to go totally bald like nearly all my male relatives. I do need more sexual intimacy not for the pleasure but for better bonding with my partner. I know someone who stopped taking propecia and his hair loss never cranked up again, so I am going to wean myself off of it. But I doubt it will have much effect on my natural testosterone level. Really, I don't think this medication is for eveyone.
