I even went to the hospital on one occasion for palpitations and suspected dehydration, and I was so dry they couldn't even get any blood out of me after 7 sticks and couldn't get an IV going. | Fortunately, the withdrawals seem to be short-lived and diminished greatly by the 3rd day off the medicine. And she said the ONLY Side effect from this rug would be tingling fingers. She downplayed the side effects so much that I didn't even look them up before taking the medication only to think I was going absolutely insane a month later. After a month I looked up the side effects and realized just how extreme they are. I am considering a lawsuit. She gave me these so that I would be able to start running again without having a migraine. But the problem is that this medication takes away my ability to find enjoyment in anything. I haven't even had the desire to go running or even step foot outside because I've been so depressed, my personality is completely gone. TOPAMAX (TOPIRAMATE): Topiramate is used alone or with other medications to prevent and control seizures (epilepsy). This medication is also used to prevent migraine headaches and decrease how often you get them. Topiramate will not treat a migraine headache once it occurs. If you get a migraine headache, treat it as directed by your doctor (such as by taking pain medication, lying down in a dark room). Topiramate is known as an anticonvulsant or antiepileptic drug.
