| 3 | COVID caused PE | Anxiety went through the roof. 2-10+. Especially in the morning. Mornings through mid day feel nausea and generally unwell. Loss of appetite. Weakness in arms. Burning in chest. Mild headaches. Mild neck and back pain. | Thought I was the only one and was wondering what all this was. Reading this makes me feel good that this is temporary. Dr. Suggestions 6mo but said standard is 3. I have enough for 4mo but if this continues. I may ask to start taper after 3. Just started using l-theamine supplement to help with anxiety. Couldn't find anything saying it affects eliquis. But if I should get another injury of this kind, or develop a blood clot for another reason - I am very concerned about the possibility of needing the drug for an extended period. It would necessitate counseling, serious diet change with the help of a professional, and consultation with a gastroenterologist. When I first started on it, I started having bad headaches, but thought nothing of it until I was at my ENT's and I mentioned to her that I had terrible headaches after starting Eliquis and her assistant heard my comment and said that he Mom was having the same problem and she was going to ask her Dr. to take her off of it. I kept with it and shrugged the headaches off and went to see my opthalmologist about the headaches and he could not find anything wrong. I even went to see my personal physician because of the terrible body aches and he could not find anything wrong with me. I jumped on the web to see what others were saying about Eliquis and was very surprised to see that there are others out there having the same problems. I have an appt today with my cardio and am asking him to stop taking Eliquis, my body pains and dizzyness are getting worse!! I suspect my blood clots etc occurred because I had had pneumonia, was in an induced coma and intubated but was not given treatment to prevent clots whilst hospitalized or post discharge (I had injections daily for 15 days post knee replacement surgery the year before). | If it was not for my raised risk of stroke, I would stop taking Eliquis.
