And daytimine seizures completely. Thank you for this anticonvulsant since I am allergic to so many other seizure medications. | If you have sleep problems, I would recommend a sleep study. Mine showed up a a neurological serzure disorder. It's worth the investment. I have seizures just as I'm falling asleep, and waking. I also have grand Mal seizures during sleep. Talk your neurologist about extended studies. Klonopin is an anticonvulsant drug. I don't have anxiety, and even if i did, this would not be the drug of choice to treat anxiety. If you have anxiety, your are better off speaking with your GP about a another solution. This drug is the least effective on anxiety. I wish they would re-caterize it as an anticonvulsant! My husband married a slim pretty shy girl.As you can imagine, I'm divorced after 31 years. We lost our house, my life will never be the same. Getting off of this drug is pure hell, and I was in a safe detox hospital. As soon as I got home, I got right backtaking it, either that, or lose my mind. Also, I was a business owner, and now I'm on disability. Can't remember word's, or have intellectual conversations anymore. Be careful not to take it everyday or you will become physically dependent. | M | 26 | 5 years 1 MG 1X day | 1/1/2017 | 5 | Stomach problems inducing anxiety | For the past 18 years I suffer from bouts of stomach/digestive issues post-meal resulting in severe nausea, sickness, stomach pressure and indigestion that can last anywhere from an hour to several hours when I feel the food hasn't been digested properly. The symptoms are so intense and unpleasant they also cause severe anxiety. Sometimes I also feel sick on empty stomach or hours after eating even if I felt fine after a meal. These attacks can be completely random any no diet modification ever worked. I can eat the same meal 3 days in a row, feel fine for 2 days and get sick on the 3rd day or feel sick on the 1st day and completely normal on the other two. The flare ups can be brutal. Sometimes it's 3-5 times a month, sometimes virtually every day for months but I also have long periods when I'm generally fine and eating normally without any meds. I've tried all possible stomach prescription medications -antiacids, Reglan, Librax and whatnot with very little relief. If it's a straighforward acid reflux then PPIs work but it's about 25% of the time. The rest of the symptoms are uncontrollable. Before September of this year I used 1 mg of Clonazepam only while flying (4 flights total)and it was fantastic. It put me to sleep for 4-5 hrs without any side effects unlike Ambien which was inconsistent. This Sept. my stomach after months of relative normality started acting up after meals (mostly diner). I think it helped my anxiety for a period but then i just had to keep increasing the dosage as the years went on - yes years. This medication changed me into a selfish person incablable of having true emotional feelings. This is not who I was before I started and I didn't know this was who I was until I have now been off of it. It is safe to say I ruined my relationship with the one person who meant the world to me, my wife. I literally told her I couldn't love anyone and that included her. I never saw my eratic behavior but I have come to learn from others, especially those I verbally abused while I was taking this medication. The first three months off of it have been really hard. Since I came off it I have been hospitalized for withdrawl, tested psychologically and by MRI for memory problems and experienced this terrible sensation of disasociation. It was not until about the 4th month that those effects started to disapate. I am finally able to see things as they are or otherwise feel normal for the first time in what seems forever.
