| 4 | Anxiety attacks | Relaxation, sometimes drowsiness. They are intensified when mixed with alcohol. | I've been prescribed Klonopin for a year and a half. To me and many others, Klonopin takes about an hour to kick in after you take it. So it won't stop an anxiety or panic attack dead in its tracks. However, if you have random anxiety or panic attacks throughout the day, take one of these and in an hour or so, you'll be calm for the rest of the day. It has a long half-life, meaning that its effects last about six hours compared to Xanax lasting about three. Do not take this every day unless you want to have seizures trying to get off of it. You will unknowingly become addicted. Even if your doctor says to take it daily, educate yourself. Never weened down. 3 MG aday is not a very high dosage though. I think Klonipin could lead people to have heart testing, not knowing Klonopin caused their heart to skip beats or have double beats. I was thinking about seeing a cardiologist because of my heart skipping beats morning to night.
