| 1 | Dizzy, lightheaded, chronic fear that I'm going to pass out, jittery, heart palpitations, headaches, severe anxiety which I have never suffered from even in a mild form. | Stay away, Dr's need to be more careful prescribing this and tell patients about these side effects as very few of them are listed on the product leaflet. NEVER AGAIN. | F | 42 | 4 weeks 2X day | 12/12/2022 | 1 | Ongoing nasal issues | This drug has changed our sweet, happy little boy into a depressed shell of himself. He's been telling me for a couple of weeks now he's sad and doesn't know why. He's been disengaged and distant. Most recently waking each night hysterically crying saying he's sad and doesn't know why. He says he has scary thoughts of things hurting him. It wasn't until I found this forum that I see he's not the only one. I'm so upset for him. Paying it wares off soon and we have our sonshine back | M | 7 | 30 days 1X day | 11/21/2022 | 1 | Allergy | As soon as I took it (first time) I started getting an irregular heart beat diagnosed as atrial ectopic hear beats. Very uncomfortable and has led to anxiety and insomnia. Would never use this again | M | 52 | 1 days NA 1X day | 11/10/2022 | 1 | Allergies | This nasonex spray needs to be banned. Serious anxiety attacks, fast heart rate, feeling not normal. I would not take it even if it was free. | Stay away from it, you have been warned. | 44 | 5 days 30 1X day | 9/27/2022 | 1 | Allergic Rhinitis | I suffer from anxiety. I have worked so hard over the last 3 years and had made huge strides forward. I started getting edgy after about a week. Carried on whilst trying to workout the cause of my anxiety, when I realised it was nasonex I stopped. Two days later I woke up in the middle of the night with a massive panic attack. I have dry heaved that much that I can't breathe deeply and it actually hurts to swallow. I have been other sofa for 3 days, alternative freezing cold or boiling hot. Its not on the sheet that comes with the medication but itis a cocortisoid (not spelt this correctly). These drugs can heighten anxiety even in people who haven't experienced it before. I will not be taking any more drugs until I thoroughly check the contents. Its on my medical records that I have anxiety so would have been good if they had erred on the side of caution. Just have to start rebuilding all the good work I had done again. Thanks Nasonex, NOT. | F | 64 | 13 days 1X day | 9/3/2022 | 1 | Chronic sinusitis | The worst dizziness I've ever felt. Like being drunk and I don't drink anymore. It makes you feel like the room is spinning. Light headed and nausea. | It's a shame because it does work but not at the expense of feeling unwell. I told my Doctor who said not to touch it as it's poison. He gave me a much better alternative. | M | 48 | 0 weeks spray 2XD 2X day | 8/19/2022 | 1 | Blocked nose | Guys I'm writing this message as I'm experiencing all the bad side effects you said above .. I was searching the internet looking for reasons of all of this anixety I thought I'm going crazy but somehow I found this page and started reading all your comments it calmed down a bit seeing that im not the only one experiencing this poison thanks a lot and sorry for my bad English | Stay away from this spray no recommended at all | M | 31 | 1 days 1 each sid 1X day | 8/13/2022 | 5 | Rugby nose and sinusitis | None at all | Very effective | M | 65 | 1 days 15 2X day | 7/27/2022 | 1 | Sinus infection | Side effects experienced with nasonex: I have had tightness in chest, numbness in my bottom lip. Severe anxiety that doesn't go away. Sleeplessness, jittery. I feel terrible, heart palpitations, I am jumpy, shaky with high adrenaline. I thought I was having a heart attack. It is panic attacks and anxiety, this has been 10 days of Hell and I just now decided to look to see if anyone had similar experience. I have anxiety which was under control, until I started this drug. 4 days to go and I have to stop taking it. | I'd stay away from this drug, seems to be poison | F | 51 | 10 days 2 sprays 2X day | 7/8/2022 | 1 | Sinus infection | I have had tightness in chest, numbness in my bottom lip. Severe anxiety that doesn't go away. Sleeplessness, jittery. I feel terrible, heart palpitations, I'm jumpy and high adrenaline. I thought I was having a heart attack. It is panic attacks and anxiety this has been 10 days of Hell and I just now decided to look to see if anyone had similar experience. I have anxiety which was under control, until I started this drug. 4 days to go and I have to stop taking it. | I'll never use this garbage again. I hope it leaves my system so I can get back to normal. I feel like I'm dying. | F | 51 | 10 days 2X day | 7/8/2022 | 1 | Allergic rhinitis | After 2nd dose, got severe anxiety and panic attacks. Felt depressed. Didn't take past two days but still struggling with panic. Would not recommend , esp to those with existing anxiety problems. Anyone know how long to get out of system . | F | 60 | 2 days 2 puffs 1X day | 2/12/2022 | 1 | Suspected post nasal drip | Took this for three weeks, experienced tight chest, painful chest and stomach. Dreadful anxiety attack last night felt really odd, never had anything like this before. Also very high blood pressure whilst feeling like this. It lasted around an hour luckily the blood pressure did come down, very nearly ended up in A&E I was terrified! Needless to say I've not taken it today nor will I again! Blood pressure still a little high but nothing like it was. Chest pain, and abdo pain gone. Can't believe a nasal spray could cause this. So glad I'm not the only one | I think in future I'll avoid any steroid nasal spray, it didn't help and I didn't have a blocked nose in the first place. Take care when using | F | 56 | 3 weeks X1 Daily 1X day | 10/19/2021 | 3 | Blocked sinuses | Sore inside nose sore throat anxiety attacks irritability | F | 56 | 6 days 30mg 2X day | 8/21/2021 | 1 | 4 nose surgery's | Mood swings, unmotivated, angry, depressed | Im the sucker for buying anything and trusting a big pharma product anywhere near my fkn body. Bunch of satanists who run and feed people this sh*t for profit need to be dealt with a fkn bullet between their eyes like the dog sh*t they are. Never again. A big old f you big pharma and to all the drug companies you deal with. | M | 39 | 2 weeks Once 1X day | 7/3/2021 | 5 | Allergic sinusitis | Nose-bleeds, pimples on/near nose, hoarseness | I'm supposed to take this twice a day everyday during allergy season, but it gives me a migraine on the second day of use, so I only use it periodically--once or twice every couple months when my allergies are bad. The day after using it(either one or two sprays in the am), I consistently get a pimple on my nose, face or eye-area, without fail. I have swollen nasal passages all year long due to allergies and a deviated septum but this helps keep me breathing and opens everything up. But its only good for limited use. If I use it more than one or two days, I get severe migraines and usually by the second day, will sound very hoarse. It does open swollen sinuses, so you will drip/blow your nose frequently to clear things out. This is the best thing I've found but US doctors no longer prescribe it and it's a Tier3(are you kidding me???!) so I just buy it from the UK out of pocket. One bottle lasts 1.5 years or longer depending on use. The OTC versions/knockoffs do NOT work for persistent sinusitis and have way worse side effects. Def recommend this, only in moderation. | F | 45 | 6 years 50mcg 2X day | 6/18/2021 | 3 | Sinus inflammation | I've been randomly experiencing heart palpitations, extreme dizziness, light headed, panic attack like symptoms. I do suffer from anxiety but NOT to this level. I've only been taking it for a few weeks and tonight it dawned on me. This nasal spray is the only thing I've changed. However, all of those side effects ARENT listed. Until I found this forum, I feel relieved to have figured out what's been causing me to feel so terribly! However the nasal spray did work great, but not at the expense of feeling this way! | F | 25 | 3 weeks 2X day | 6/16/2021 | 3 | Sinuses | Head ache bit ear pain dry nose feel awful been taking it 15 year now I'm getting all these side effects | Told doctor about side effect don't think he believes it is the spray | F | 42 | 15 years 1X day | 2/2/2021 | 1 | Swollen nasal passages | Agitated, DIZZY, short of breath, heart palpitations...and slowing down, agression, hoarse voice and irritated throat, lump in throat feeling, anxiety through the roof, insomnia, acid reflux, chest tightness, very restless like I was running on adrenaline. Panic attacks...bad ones. I could go on... | Yup, even supposedly "benign" nasal steroids can cause serious issues. Regardless of what your dismissive doctor will say. At least that's been my experience with several, I get told because the nasal administration makes the drug localized that it doesnt effect your system as a whole very much at all. ALL STEROIDS can cause problems, they effect your stress hormones. Effects of Prednisone and anabolic steroids are taken seriously so why not nasal corticosteroids? Took Nasonex closer to two months, not one. Anyways, also had bad reaction from Flonase months before the Nasonex but at the time didnt realize the issues I was having were due to the steroids. Took me sometime to finally do research and confirm it was in fact these two nasal sprays causing me to go literally crazy. Also had brief encounter with Prednisone and decongestant sprays that caused issues too. It's been about 6 months since any steroids and sprays and I'm still struggling with some damage, mostly dizzy spells and severe anxiety/panic attacks. Took some time to get past the irritated throat that made it hard to swallow and acid reflux/chest pain. Not your run of the mill anxiety either....seriously debilitating panic. I feel like I messed up my adrenals with these drugs. PLEASE feel free to reach out to me if you had these problems too! | F | 30 | 1 months 2X day | 12/14/2020 | 1 | Sinusitis | 14 days into Mometasone implants (Sinuva) the MOST AWFUL anxiety, insomnia, vivid dreams, night terrors and neck pain! Mometasone should come with warnings and Dr.s have to acknowledge the (adverse) psychological side effects! | Mometasone is a miserable steroid! | M | 56 | 14 days 50mg 1X day | 12/14/2020 | 1 | Allergies | Really bad anxiety, overthinking and feeling depressed. Read reviews before taking nasonax and on the first day did 1 spray each nose, didn't get any after effects, I thought great so second day did 2 sprays each nose as recommended and went through the worst bout of anxiety I've ever experienced. It lasted for 5-6 hours. Throwing this garbage in the bin, would rather deal with allergies | M | 24 | 2 days 1X day | 11/29/2020 |
