CLINDAMYCIN HCL  (CLINDAMYCIN HYDROCHLORIDE):  Clindamycin is used to treat a wide variety of bacterial infections. It is an antibiotic that works by stopping the growth of bacteria. This antibiotic treats only bacterial infections. It will not work for virus infections (such as common cold, flu).  1  Bacteria sinus infection My doctor prescribed me this drug because I have an allergic reaction to doxycycline AND because my sinus infection has also turned into a fungal infection. Day I, I was Ok. A bit strong of an antibiotic but still manageable. Here I am day 4 and I want to Kill myself. My thoughts are not my thoughts anymore. Im forgetting basic words mid sentence. I find myself sitting in parking lots for long periods of time doing nothing. My chest HURTS and burns severely. Constant back, shoulder and neck pain. Throbbing headache. Severe diarrhea. And the anxiety is out of this world. I feel like Im on constant edge. Its so bad Ive resorted to my room and kept away from my family b/c I do not want them to see me like this. The only reason why Im going to continue is because my doctor said if it does not work, they are going to prescribe something much stronger. So glad I found this page b/c I thought I was going insane. Praying this is the 1st and last time I will ever have to take this medication. M 31 10 days
