I suffer from shortness of breath, panic attacks, gastro-intestinal distress and lethargy. | I had to stop taking Lamisil. Began experiencing extreme abdominal pain and nausea. Lost sleep one full night due to the pain. Thought the pain was gas, but not having trouble passing gas. I then skipped two days, began feeling much better. Applied the night time gel between my toes as directed two nights ago. The abdominal discomfort returned, however not the extreme pain I'd experienced two three nights ago. I continue to eat, in spite of the nausea, to keep my energy up. I then began looking for the side effects and discovered that what I'm experiencing appears to be linked to the foot applicable forms of Lamisil. Trying tea tree oil and apple cider vinegar. NOTE...what made me look into the drug was my husbands experience 10 years ago. Extremely high liver numbers after just 3 weeks of the oral drug. I asked the pharmacist as many questions as he would allow, such as, “Would you let your wife take this pill, would you take it, etc.” Every answer he gave was BS, as if to fall short of admitting he’s very afraid of it. Toxic taste effects in 3 days? Isn’t taste a neurological function? If an Rx can have this dramatic an effect in 3 days, what will happen in 3 months? 3 years? Look, the last thing we need is another Vioxx scandal. I’ll LIVE with my yellow toes… the point is live. My advice? Be afraid… be very afraid. This is a cosmetic drug, NOT a life saving one. I tried Vicks, oregano oil, tea tree oil, and vinegar with minimal results. The side effects of this drug in the first three days are debilitating.
