I went to my doctor informed him of my situation and he provided me with Lamisil. I took the pill for a least 20 days. The next morning I went to work fine took my meds, out of the blue I began to itch all over. My lip felt like it was growing by the second. I kept asking my manager does my lip looks big she said no. So I took an early lunch to go to Walgreens to get a Benadryl. It stopped the itching but my lip still felt funny. I went home eat dinner, took a shower, then off to bed I went. The next morning I got up no pain no itching it felt alittle funny but I was ok. I entered the bathroom to go get ready for work. I passed the mirror then double back because I didn't recognize who passed by in the mirror. When backup up to go take a look I screamed my entire face was swelled up. My hands, face, feet were swollen from Lamisil due to I was allegric to the medication that my doctor provided. When I started taking my second batch at day 45 experienced flu like symtoms, fever and chills. On day 45 I stopped the pill. The fever and chills scared me. Throughout my time taking this pill I was feeling more and more fatigued. I also experienced slight taste loss and dizziness. It has now been about a month and a half since I stoped taking the drug and I still dont feel completely ok. Experiencing dull stomach pain and back pain. | I was given liver blood test before taking the drug, test results indicated healthy liver. I was given another blood test after 30 days of using the drug. Test results also showed healthy liver function. Since it has been about a month and a half since I stoped taking the drug I will get additional lab/blood test done. Iam worried and regret taking this drug. DO NOT TAKE THIS DRUG. It is not worth the risk. The doctors dont put enough effort on there part to convince you of how dangerous this drug can be. This drug might work for you, but it might not, is just not worth the risk. Sometimes I feel normal but sometimes I feel like my liver might have taken a big hit from this drug. Id also like to add Im not a drinker, I have drank socially but normally I go half a year or more than that without having even one beer. I also exercise and my job is very active, Im an automotive technician. I also think I eat healthy in comparison to a lot of people. Im worried.. Im starting to drink a lot of FLUIDS and eating as healthy as possible. Mainly eating vegetables and fruits to try and help my liver reverse any damages. At 8 weeks, stomach pain began intermittently. Stopped taking the medication at 8 1/2 weeks and stomach pain continued & loose stools began. Currently 4 days after stopping medication and still dealing with these symptoms. A minority of people had experienced a taste loss. That’s why I decided to take a chance with it. But my love affair with Lamisil ends here. I took it for only two days, and just a few hours after taking the first dose, I started to notice that my mouth was over salivating. Then came the chest pain and headache. The second day, I started to have this weird sensation in the upper back of my mouth while eating; I felt like throwing up without actually feeling nauseous. I took the second dose anyway and that’s when things started to taste very dull and salty. The chest pain and cough got worse at night. Overall I have felt so exhausted and out of it for the past two days, yet can’t sleep at night. When I do finally fall asleep, I have extremely disturbing dreams. It feels like I have to fight in order to not let this poison defy my sense of logic and worthiness. My pinky nail was completely fungal and my big toe was very infected on the top sides. I tried over the counter products, prescription lacquers, tea tree oil, Vicks, (and combining these) even laser, and nothing worked so I finally tried Lamisil. Immediately I saw great improvement and after 6 months on the medication all nails are clear except for the tiniest sliver on the very top of my big toenail and I'm optimistic this will grow out as the rest of it has. I experienced bloating, stomach upset/cramps, a poisoned feeling from excessive drinking unlike any hangover I've had previously, and I have been suffering from hair loss that I hope is due to the medicine. I have very fine but normally voluminous hair so the hair loss and the bloating have been the most distressing side effects for me. I also suspect some abdominal weight gain but again I hope this is just a side effect. | Despite the side effects I truly believe this medication was the best treatment option for me and I am thrilled with the results.
