I have been off it for 5 days now and it still hurts though not as bad. The joint pain was in my thumbs and low back. I am also allergic to sulfa drugs which some one else mentioned. This drug definitely poisoned me and I hope I feel well again. Fatigue set in and I actually considered having my doctor run a mono or epstein bar bloodtest. I am stopping this medicine 7 days short - I cannot justify another week because I am too scared that the side effects will never go away - my vision is also blurry. Poison. I stopped taking the lamisil...but the rash quickly spread to back, neck, arms and legs. The last place it showed up was on my hands and feet My skin felt like it was on fire...almost raw...like a bad sunburn. Everywhere the rash was, my skin is now flaking and peeling. It has been 5 weeks and my skin still is not back to normal. My doctor had me on 40 mg of prednsone for 2 weeks. My reaction was so severe, the derm was surprised it didnt land me in the hospital. I read the information sheets given by the pharmacy, but no mention was made that one of the side effects was loss of taste. My liver tests have been normal so far, and my toenails have cleared somewhat, but it is not worth the side effects! | After reading comments about the horrific side effects of this drug on this website and experiencing the loss of taste myself, I am appalled that it is still on the market! Even the scaling and itching on the bottom of my feet is 95% gone. I wear sandels and don't hide my feet anymore. The passed 4 years I try EVERY external treatment (grapefruit essential oil, some medicinal oil, anti-fungus nail polish, bath foot with javel etc..) So I came to the point taking Lamisil. I read all the comments on that page before using it and it really scared me but took it anyways. It has been my 4th day only, but I notice like a constant smell/taste of carboard. No any side effect for the moment (and hopefully I wont have any other)... So ill keep taking my pills till end of the tretament. | Weird taste/smell (like cardboard) after only 4 days, but no big deal for me.
