| 1 | GAD | Originally i had no problems, when i started getting my medicine schedule messed up, i started having extreme vertigo in the morning sometimes unbearable, and increased anxiety, along with even more depersonalization. | I wouldn't suggest anyone taking this unless you plan on keeping a straight schedule. BAD IDEA. initially the drug gave me a few unpleasant side effects--blurred vision, shakiness, headache. but this was completely different. i had the worst panic attack of my life with hallucinations, palpitations, brain zaps, uncontrollable shivering, inability to sit still, chest pain, inability to communicate, feeling of unreality--i felt as though i was going crazy. i was up all night, and the only way i was able to get some of this to subside was to take a half a pill. they say this crap is supposed to be non-addictive...my ass. the withdrawal effects for me were worse than the side effects! so now i am trying to wean myself | this drug induces panic attacks, not cure them. | F | 28 | 2 weeks 7.5mg 2X day | 3/27/2011 | 1 | GAD | Dizziness initially, weird electrical-like zapping feelings, EXTREME weight gain (20 lbs in 2 months), pounding heartbeat, insomnia, diarrhea. | I do not recommend this drug at all. For me, Buspar never made me "high" at all. The only thing I felt was relief from the impending doom of anxiety. For me the result was automatic. My husband noticed the only change in me was this acute sense of anxiety was gone, but other than that, no other changes. I know certain drugs affect us all differently. All I can say is, please keep trying. Eat right and exercise (SERIOUSLY A BIG DEAL), then try to get a drug balance if that is what you need. For me it is Prozac, Welbutrin, then Buspar. I lucked out after many trials and much suffering. I'll stay on this the rest of my life if I need to. Be kind to yourself, pray, and look for more help if what you are getting is not enough.
