| 5 | insomnia | Morning grogginess...lucid dreams. | I have had chronic insomnia for years...was on Elavil but it quit working for me. Lunesta made me VERY anxious...Ambien was also short-lived effective for me. God, I hated Lunesta. Anyway, researched this and asked my Doc...she said it was fine for long-term use and recommended the smallest dose first. She had me on Elavil at 25mg before that lost effectiveness..it was never as effective as this Surmontil is for me.
