| 4 | Anxiety / Depression | Insomnia for about 2 weeks, which went away. | I began taking this when all other anti-depressants failed, and I could no longer tolerate the mental fog and apathy that Lexapro caused. It has helped a lot with taking the place of Lexapro for panic attacks and general anxiety, and has given me some energy back so I can work normally again. It hasn't been what I had wanted in an anti-depressant. I still feel emotionless and dull most of the time, with brief instances of feeling. I am planning to go up to 30 mg BID soon to see if this helps. | M | 32 | 9 months 45 1X D | 12/4/2012 | |
| 3 | Anxiety / Depression | Insomnia, weight gain (15 lbs), bloating, constipation, sexual dysfunction, fatigue, low blood pressure | Nardil worked well the first time I took it, which lasted for a year until it didn't seem to help me when stress at work was getting bad. I switched to Marplan, which was awful, and then to Parnate. After about nine months on Parnate I became chronically fatigued, had trouble concentrating, and felt agitated all the time (too much NE), and eventually left my job due to poor work performance and worsening symptoms. I eventually switched back to Nardil, but it never worked like it did the first time I took it. When my pdoc and I pushed the dose to 75 mg I became hypomanic and very irritable/aggressive. I eventually experienced a mixed state that lasted for a few weeks. I also experienced brain zaps while coming off Nardil, which I've never experienced before with any other meds (Parnate was a pain to discontinue, also). I discontinued the drug quicker than recommended, over the course of about 2-3 weeks. | M | 34 | 5 months 30 2X D | 2/24/2015 | |
