| 1 | the generic - Nitrofurantn 100MG | Horrible! I spent most of my time in bed. This drug didn't totally wiped me out to the point I could barely get out of bed. I was chilled, weak, numb, achy, exhausted, could barely move, muscle pains, spacey, back and neck pain. I tried doing my best to eat a large amount of food thinking this would help with my side effects. Food and liquids didn't help. I called 2 different pharmacists. One said, everyone's body is different and it could be. She didn't know. While the other said he hadn't heard of the side effects I had experienced and said I may have the flu. Impossible. I felt bad every time I took a pill. I would feel sick as a dog for 9 hours, then a little bit better, until the next pill. Finding this discussion on the internet shows me that there are many others like myself who got terribly sick on Macrobid Nitrofurantn).
