| 5 | Rheumatoid Arthritis | Pain at injection site for about 2-3 days. Bruising for about a week. Itchy at injection site. Getting sick easily. Lowers white blood cells. | Aside from the itching and bruising this medicine has helped me a whole lot. I was on Enbrel for about 2 years and the medicine started to wear off. I am now taking Humira along with Methotrexate and Folic Acid. I am pain free when I am on this medication. I had to recently stop because I got sick and this medicine lowers the immune system. I am going to get back on it when I get better again. The pain is unbearable for me when the injection is going through my body. I had it on my thigh the first time I took it and it hurt so bad. Then I read more about it and decided to try the belly. This hurt a lot less. Icing and warming up the pen/syringe helps a whole lot!! I take the pen Humira and the 10 second pain is worth it! I have arthritis in my ankles, wrists, fingers, elbows and knees. They swell and are soo painful. It was always hard for me to sit in class and hard for me to move. After taking this, this has helped a lot. There is still some pain, but it takes a few months before it starts to kick in. I also had to get off it for about 3 weeks.
