| 1 | to lower my need for clomipramine | Slept forever. Felt like a zombie. Memory was adversely affected. Overreacted emotionally to situations. | Had taken this drug at 75 mg for a year or so and it seemed to lessen my need for clomipramine, which helps me fantastically but has too many bad side effects. Stopped because I wasn't sure it was doing anything and thought it was the reason my appetite disappeared. Asked doc if I could try it again to help sleep. I worked up gradually to 100 mg but it knocked me right out and I slept forever. Then I started getting really freaked about memory loss and felt out of my mind. Even though the half life is only 7 hours and I've stopped it for 2 days it's like it just won't let go of me. I have taken xanax to help sleep for 25 years, but I wake up at night and have to take more or I'm depressed from too little sleep. Then I oversleep. Doc has agreed to try restoril if traz. didn't work out bec. restoril has a longer half life than xanax. I was on restoril years ago and found it a really benign drug which did what it was supposed to and didn't hang me over, but my stupid shrink at the time took me off it bec. he didn't want me on 2 benzos., even though I took them at different times of the day for different reasons (xanax while awake to treat anxiety). | M | 63 | 2 weeks 100 mg 1X D | 4/19/2010 | |
