| 1 | suspected sinus infection | Severe nausea, headache, loss of appetite, fever spike after 6 days, extreme anxiety attacks (pt has Anxiety Disorder but never had 3 hour attacks before), all over body hot, itchy rash with no relief - even on scalp. | My daughter who is in otherwise very good health was put on this for a sinus infection, along with Prednisone. We ended up in the ER after 10 days of use because her reaction was so extreme. The misery this drug has caused cannot be explained to someone who hasn't experienced it. As a healthcare professional (Master of Science in Patient Safety from UIC College of Medicine), I am appalled that there are this many known severe side effects and this med doesn't have a black box warning. This should ONLY be prescribed as a last-resort antibiotic.
