I know I couldn't wait to get off of it the first few times on it, and each time I found myself back on the first opiate that came along, whether it be prescription or illicit. So if I had any advice to share, I guess I'd say though I agree somewhat with a previous poster who advocates detoxing as soon as you 'get your life together', I'd like to add a warning of, do not detox too soon, and if you find it necessary to stay on for a lifetime, it is always far better than the alternative.
