| 1 | Bipolar disorder/ depression | Took one in the evening (the ONLY one I will EVER take), fell asleep fast and had the absolute most terrifying nightmares of my life and I dream very often. Never has been this bad. Could not wake up out of the dream and it felt so real. Woke up somehow turned perpendicular to my bed than how I fell asleep. Woke up with the worst headache ever and was so tired. Somehow slept for 14 hours straight. Felt terrible the entire next day. Extremely suicidal. I've had dizziness and an annoying headache that won't go way every day. I also felt like my nose was going to become stuffed but it never happened. To treat the headache I took ibuprofen 1000mg and I had a coffee with two espresso shots and my headache went away. On the second day I woke up in the middle of the night because I couldn't breathe. My nose was so completely stuffed for about two hours. On the third day the stuffed nose happened again about four hours after I took the med. I used my daughter’s nasal spray and it cleared up. I also noticed I’m much more calm and patient with my daughter. I ended up switching it back to nights (on my own accord) and have been sleeping amazingly with another sleep aide. But now I'm experiencing almost withdrawal like symptoms 18 hours after taking it. Dizzy, brain zaps, nausea, diarrhea. No weight gain which is great for my body dismorphia. I always feel hot and sweat a lot during the day. My nose got so stuffed up I could only breathe thru my mouth. My mouth was so dry- I was so incredibly uncomfortable and felt so off. My thoughts turned dark and kept telling myself I'd be better off dead. I wanted to get up and move around but I couldn't. i was completely incapacitated by euphoria. Dizziness. I woke up with the worst headache of my entire life. It was absolute hell. | I told my dr the next day what I felt and the thoughts that this drug envoked and she advised me to stop taking it. I woke up with a headache every day after that for a week. Then they eased tremendously. I also have to watch out for orthostatic hypotension when I get up from sitting or lying down. Occasionally I have gotten dizzy . All these were definitely more troublesome in the beginning but they are becoming less frequent now like I had hoped they would. | I'm running out of options to try for my Bipolar medication. 1. I'm glad my insurance finally came to their senses and approved the PA 2. I've been on pretty much everything between Lithium and Caplyta for Bipolar- you name it I've probably been on it at some point with negative results. 3. And finally I was stable and doing my best on Lamictal but I cannot take it ever again due to a Steven Johnson's Rash I developed after a surgery I had. Life just isn't fair sometimes. So I'm hoping this can be my new Lamictal!!
