Terrible taste in mouth, diarhea, RASH OVER ARMS AND LEGS after 2nd day. THROAT SWELLED and had to discontinue. | I have taken Flagyl in the past and did not have these symptoms. I took the generic brand. This time it was an AWFUL experience. Would definitely not recommend it to people prone to or suffering from depression and/ or anxiety. I strongly recommend buying empty gelatin capsules, size 00, to put pill into so you won't taste it. I also took probiotics 1/2 hour before the Flagyl. The C diff was from Clindamycin for lingual tonsillitis. Yesterday, one day after finishing Flagyl, I had another bout of diarrhea. I am hoping it was from introducing certain foods back into my diet too soon. I haven't had a problem today. If I have to repeat this again, I heard Zofran is available in a generic form. I wonder if this would help the nausea. I read that Lyme bacteria "hides", but that abx can kill the bacteria and make it show up on a test easier.
