I take the lowest dose of Entresto 2x per day, NOT 1x per day as reflected in my original post. My EF improved from 33% to 40%-45% after adding Entresto to the Metoprolol and Amioderone I was taking. After having the Wolf Mini-Maze, then stopping the Metoprolol and Amioderone but continuing to take Entresto at the lowest dose, my EF went from 40%-45% to 66%. I had been taking Entresto with the other two medications approximately 8 months prior to having the Wolf Mini-Maze procedure. I will see my Cardiologist this August for another Check-up. The Wolf Mini-Maze procedure I had in December of 2020 ended the AFIB I had. I believe the procedure in combination with Entresto was most instrumental/helpful in bringing my EF back into the normal range. While taking the combination of Metoprolol, Amioderone and Entresto I felt bad ALL of the time. My life was bed, my recliner, visits to Doctors and taking medications. ENTRESTO (SACUBITRIL; VALSARTAN): This product is used to treat certain types of heart failure. It may help you live longer and lower your chance of having to go to the hospital for heart failure. This product contains 2 medications: sacubitril and valsartan. Sacubitril belongs to a class of drugs called neprilysin inhibitors and valsartan belongs to a class of drugs called angiotensin receptor blockers (ARBs). They work by relaxing blood vessels so that blood can flow more easily, which makes it easier for your heart to pump blood to your body.
