1  EPI (half of my pancreas removed I have had painful digestion issues after getting half of my pancreas removed and half of my stomach, due to a tumor but no cancer. It was getting better a bit- then they gave me creon.. any progress I had made went straight out of the window. After eating I was in the most pain I have been in. I have had only liquid bowl movements and some nausea. It made everything so much worse. I stopped taking it a day ago and things are already improving but I'm still not where I was. I would do anything to go back and not have taken this drug. F 23 4 days

3  Carcinoid cancer/octreotide treatment After being on Creon for over a year I have developed as per a doctor type 2 diabetes. I wonder if my insulin level is not due to diabetes but from the fact that my pancreas is not functioning due to the octreotide shots that I take. If this is true I think there should be some research and Information should be given to patients F 73 1 years

1  lack of pancreatic enzymes This is probably the worst Rx I have ever been on. I was having severe digestion issues also with acid reflux, belching, bloating, swelling, etc. Could barely eat anything. With this Rx all my symptoms became worse and after 5 weeks I was starting to plan my funeral. I never dreamed it would be this Rx. The acid reflux and belching went away but I had most of the common side effects, uncommon side effects and most of the rare side effects. I cannot believe the inactive ingredients are allowed in this Rx. I thought only enzymes. In view of how much this cost...it cost my health more. I guess everyone responds differently to meds. Had JUST refilled for 3 months when I realized it had to be this Rx. I was planning my funeral and had no idea it could be from this med. All the reasons I took this med was worse so I thought it was just the meds weren't helping and my liver/pancreas was in bad shape. CT scan said everything was great. So it was meds and I am doing much better. Don't know what to do with 90 pills...only refilled 2 weeks ago. F 67 5 weeks

4  After C-Diff I have a lot of gas some days. My GI Doctor prescribed this to me after wracking her brain on what would help my chronic diarrhea (I had C-Diff 6 months ago & am still dealing with the after effects), so she had me try Questran powder which did nothing to help me, then had me try this. Although I still have diarrhea most days, I would say this has helped my body try to become "normal" again a couple of days a week. I see this as positive since nothing before this has worked.  3  Sphincter of oddi disease Creon may have caused some gas and discomfort. I'm still having bouts of diarrhea, but I think that may be due to bile salt malabsorption. F 25 2 weeks

4  chronic diarrhea None. It improved my situation by 75%. Still experience diarrhea but much less frequently. kind of expensive - ($3,000 for 90 day supply) but insurance covers much of the cost. Still I hate to take such an expensive med. Inconvenient - have to take 3 capsules with every meal and 1-2 with each snack. But - it helps... M 67 80 days
