| 5 | HPV Anal Warts | Slight itching/burning | I had several anal warts that are now all gone thanks to Aldara! I used the medication for two months. I had no side effects for the first month, but as the warts disappeared I did get some itching. I think the itching was due to using the same amount of Aldara when the warts disappeared. I think it made healthy skin itch. So, I cut down on the amount applied and the itching went away. Tender scrotum | So I've have these bumps on my scrotum. NOT GW (One Doctor said Molescum not sure they look like hair bumps). Early 2008, I got them frozen off, and they went away for a bit, but not 100%. When they came back, I wanted to get them frozen off. However, Doctor recommended NO INSISTED on Aldara. I've been using it for a little over 2 weeks now, and 2 days ago is when I noticed first my entire scrotum was dry and felt very sensitive. So that night I decided to slobber it with some moisturizing lotion, and sleep on it. The next morning, I was actually woken up at 4am. I was in pain. There were blisters, and sores. Scrotum's been red ever since, very sensitive, puss. It's been getting worse. Any touch to the scrotum hurts...EVERY STEP I TAKE IS AGONY... Have been trying not wearing underwear, but that's also no help. The worse is where the scrotum touches the thighs. I feel every hair poking. Don't know whether it was even worth it... don't even have GW. I've been consumed only by the pain. I'm on my knees legs spread apart writing this right now, and can still feel the stinging/burning sensation. I hope it's working.....MISERY loves company, so it's been sort of comforting and helpful reading all your comments, and I'll certainly minimize on the usage in the area. I only experienced redness with the GW was located. Two weeks ago, I had another one and thought "oh no". Anyway, i gave it a week and then called my dermatologist and asked for a script of Aldara. I received it on Wednesday, applied it every night and the GW was gone by Sunday with no side affects. It's very easy to misuse aldara, and if you do you'll be paying for it for days. Be very careful with this medication, do not blob it on and always ask a doctor if your going to apply it to a new area of your genital area because it might not be meant to be applied there, generally I found going to the doctor to burn the warts off more effective with that freezing stuff I don't know what they call it but once a week for 3-4 treatments has worked for me in the past, I would not recommond this product as I find it way too harsh on my skin even when I used it properly and it's expensive too, made me itchy and takes a long time to start working, not worth the time, money or pain | F | 24 | | 9/6/2009 | 4 | Genital Warts | intense itching, redness, open sores, mild nausea and diarrhea | Used properly (really rub it in people, don't just glop it on) it does clear up the warts.
