This could be from the surgery itself but I am sensitive to medications and this med is a steriod. | I was prescribed this a week after surgery. I only could read the top line of the eye chart at that time, surgery was supposed to be for a lens that allows near and far vision, but my vision was much worse in the one eye after the surgery. I read that this med is usually taken the same day as surgery. Stopped taking the eye drop after 3 days. A week after feel much better and the eye is improving but still not better than before the cataract surgery. After a few days I started experiencing sore throat and hoarse voice. Did not connect it to the eye drops. Thought it was an allergy or maybe a lingering virus. Only after accidentally missing a few doses and starting again did I realize it was the Lotemax. Stopped taking it and sore throat and hoarseness stopped immediately.
