1  Sinus Congestion Tried Nasacort last year for allergies. Started having heart issues and vision problems, but had just been prescribed thyroid meds so thought that was the problem. If I used more than 3 consecutive days, I'd have nose bleeds, so stopped using unless sinus congestion got bad. Started having heart issues and trying to faint. Was prescribed meds for that. Quit using Nasacort until last week and used two days. The irregular heart rate and fainting returned. Now I know! F 72 0 days

1  Non-allergic rhinitis Severe migraine-like headache, ear aches, body aches, neck ache, back ache, severe dry sore throat causing swallowing difficulties, severe dry crusty nose, increased sneezing, usually made my congestion worse not better, fatigue, sick stomach, bad dizziness, increased anxiety and agitation, low mood, insomnia, decreased concentration, spaced out feeling, takes about five days after stopping for side effects and rebound congestion to completely go away. I must be steroid-sensitive even to small micrograms of steroids. I will stop using it and just use Afrin decongestant nasal spray intermittently when my nose is really congested. Every individual metabolizes drugs differently and gets different side effects. Not everyone will get as severe as side effects as I do. I seem sensitive to a lot of medicines. I think genetically I might not metabolize drugs very well, since other family members get bad side effects from drugs too. F 42 3 weeks

2  Allergies Had double ablation for ventricular fibrillation a couple of years ago and have been fine until this past week. Have had increased panic attacks and heart palpitations at bedtime. Found this website and am going to skip tonight's dose to see if it helps. Feel certain this is the cause. I had lost weight and have been exercising, eating well-no other reasons that correlate the timing of these symptoms! M 63 1 weeks

1  allergy doctor advice I have ALWAYS had BP around 105/68 and now it is 128/89 as of today (2 months after starting) . I am stopping use of this product and will continue to monitor my BP and hopefully I am correct that Nasacort is the issue. I am retired and have my "routine" which doesn't vary much. I exercise, walk quite a bit and eat healthy. I checked my BP 3 weeks after my allergy doctor suggested I use it and my blood pressure was higher than it has ever been 126/83. It has increased since then. I thought of things that I have been doing differently and have really gone back to my basics, then I thought Nasacort is something that I have recently started and I have researched it to find other people have experienced the exact same increase in BP as myself. There should be a greater warning about this effect on your BP. M 62 2 months

4  Severe allergies, violent sneezing Ringing and pressure in the ears, unexplained skin rashes, really bad insomnia, some stomach issues. Nasacort works great for my allergies, it's the only thing that worked. The side effects developed mostly after long term use. Didn't even connect them until reading the comments here. Never had any of the "labeled side effects" like nose bleeds, etc. So clearly everyone reacts differently, and over different time periods. I plan to reduce dosage and eventually stop. Using only intermittently would probably have been a better choice. M 55 3 years

5  Chronic allergies and sinusitis I have not experienced any negative side effects and this is the 2nd month (not consecutive) I've used Nasacort daily. I suffer from allergies- cats, molds, grasses and pollens. Living in Florida, allergy "season" is year around. I'm also an asthma sufferer. Using Nasacort has let me stop using other allergy meds daily such as Zyrtec, Claritin, etc. I even use my albuterol inhaler less often. At the time of writing this review, I was dealing with a great amount of sinus drainage, stuffiness and pressure. Was even feeling dizzy from it. I decided to try Nasacort after about a week of feeling miserable. I used it and it helped, not cured, but definitely helped the sinus problems I was having. My main concern was the dizziness from the sinus congestion and only after 2 days of using it, it went away and my allergy and sinus symptoms were greatly reduced. I said in the side effects section that I'm having none, however, I cannot be 100% certain of that because I'm feeling a little lethargic. To be fair, I'm also on another (unrelated) medication that has lethargy listed as a side effect so I can't rule out one or the other. I recommend Nasacort to family and friends but stress to them that I don't take it for more than 3-4 weeks at a time. F 36 1 months

4  Sinus congestion & Dust & Mold Allergy None so far. As soon as I use it I can breathe easier. I have more energy during the day because I can breathe clearly at night. I swap off, this for 2 weeks and Sudafed for 2 weeks, so my body doesn't get used to either. F 33 3 weeks

1  For Seasonal allergies. Extremely high blood pressure. Took it for a month didn't realize it was because of the Nasacort. Talked to allergy doctor before and the pharmacist they assured me it was ok to take it. BP today was 186/104 am in ER right now. This started on 24 February 2015. Some days ok then starts up again. Feeling like I'm going to die when it spikes. How long wil this continue. If you have high blood pressure please do not use nasal sprays. I'll never use them again, ever!!!!! F 61 1 months

1  nasal allergies Developed blurry vision in left eye. It was quickly diagnosed as Central serous retinopathy caused due to ocular pressure buildup. Once I stopped nasacort normal vision returned in 2-3 weeks. No major improvement in allergy symptoms during 1 month of use other than the side effects. Will not use or recommend. M 32 30 days

4  allergies This seemed to give me great energy and increased appetite (gained weight over this last month). Felt better than I have for many springs, but then I decided I should get off of it as I didn't know it was a steroid. My side effects of taking myself off are terrible. Allergies are back and a terrible rebound headaches. So now, I am slowly weaning myself off and am now dizzy and nauseous. Is this from being on it or taking myself off? I don't know. F 50 40 days

1  asthma My asthma and allergy doctor instructed that my son who is 8 and I take this daily since we had been using albuterol too much and our asthma was not under control. The Nasacort worked but I started to get dizzy/lightheaded after standing up from something simple like watering plants or putting my shoes on. I had an upset stomach: as if I had food poisoning for about 2 weeks and I became extremely fatigued. My blood pressure had dropped to 103/63 with a 75 pulse which is not normal for me. I figured that my son's spaciness was from being tired with the end of the school year and his new phase of extreme annoyance was something that happens to those who are about to turn 9. I have stopped taking it for 3 days and am no longer extremely fatigued or dizzy. Now that I have figured out how it affects me, I will stop having my son take it. F 1 months
