I did not think my doctor would believe me but when I told him he said, "oh, that's not so bad, I had one patient gain 40 lbs the first month!" WHY? didn't he tell me? Why did he prescribe it? I was fat already and gaining more did nothing to help my depression-BUT, amazingly this stuff did help me feel less depressed but if I stayed on this stuff, I'd probably weigh 500 lbs by now and I could never be happy about that. Why can't they develop an antidepressant that makes you lose weight or is weight neutral? If you are sad and need to gain weight-this is the drug for you! But if you are struggling with weight issues-stay away. I WISH I could take this drug. I have been on practically every drug out there and this one really worked but I'd rather be depressed and thin than fat and "happy" because I could never be truly happy if I was fat. The weight gain it caused - despite eating very little - produced the exact opposite of what we were trying to achieve however. A relapse of my eating disorder.
