CILOXAN  (CIPROFLOXACIN HYDROCHLORIDE):  This medication is used to treat eye infections. Ciprofloxacin belongs to a class of drugs called quinolone antibiotics. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria. This medication treats only bacterial eye infections. It will not work for other types of eye infections.  2  After having Lasik surgey After using this antibiotic eye drop only a few times after Lasik surgery, my eye turned blood red with pain and swelling. Turns out I was very allergic to this drug. But I am super sensitive to drugs - that is just me. You might benefit from using this drug. F 73 1 days
