Sometimes goofy or silly if I have had a drink (rarely) and don't go to sleep soon after taking the ambien. | Taking the 10 Mg tab didn't always get me to sleep. Especially if I had a late night snack. This is the trick I came up with about 3 months ago and it works like a charm almost every time. I bite of a small piece- about a third of a tablet. I swallow the large piece and then I tuck the small piece under my tongue so it dissolves and is absorbed sublingually it usually work pretty good. The sublingual dose acts quickly and the other part kicks in later. I typically get 6.5 to 8 hrs of good sleep. I do have a fan cpap and sometimes earplugs.
