| 4 | Hand and Plantar Wart | Affected skin is sore. | I have a wart on my finger (for a couple of months) and one on the bottom of my foot (for about 3 years). I finally decided to see a doctor and she prescribed the Condylox (podofilox) solution. The patient insert and everything I've read online says that it's for genital warts, there's not a lot of information for use on hands and feet. I'm on the first day of the second week (twice a day for three days, four days break) and I see little to no improvement for the wart on my foot. The wart on my hand seems to have gotten smaller, it's white on the surface, but dark underneath today. At the beginning of treatment it was flesh colored, then turned white after the first three days of treatment. On the sixth day into treatment, the wart area of my hand was sore, almost felt like I smashed it into something. I used the product as directed and I haven't had any burning or itching, just the mild soreness of the skin. I've been covering it with a regular bandaid so that I don't scratch it on something or accidentally spread it. Based on the comments I've read, it looks like it's working for my hand, but possibly not my foot. Anyone else have experience using this product for general (not genital) warts? | F | 25 | 8 days 0.5% | 4/28/2018 | 4 | Gw | Burning. Itching. Odor | I was told by my dr. to use 2x4 a day for 3 days. Well today is day 3 and I can not bare to even touch them. It hurts to walk/move. There is also a odor coming from the dries areas. I was tested for a utility or anything else. The Dr said the smell is from the cream/skin coming off. I tried my best not to get on any healthy skin but this was a lot harder then I expected (doing it alone). I see a huge difference already. I have about 15 gw. 4 of them were very large and the larger ones are purr white and starting to get smaller, a few of the smaller ones are starting to dissappear as well. Some of the older ones will definitely need another treatment. I'm going to rest for atleast 4 days and repeat the treatment again. Hoping they will continue to shrink during my rest time. FOUL ODOR. Headaches.loss of sleep | This is my 1st time on this medication. When I first found out I had it. I knew how I had contracted HPV.I Knew it the second I had finished being with her. I knew deep down inside it was wrong and a month later 3 bumps showed up. I didn't think much of it until it spread to my groin area. I finally went to a dermatologist and he used cryofreez and prescribed me condylox. The 1st 2 days I expected it to be a little burning sensation which was fine. But after day 3 and on my 1st day of rest. It was the most EXCRUCIATING pain I've ever felt in my life. Plus the ODOR I can not stand it. I will wait until after the 4 days rest to see some results but if nothing good happens I will go back and get them removed with surgery. This is probably the biggest lesson in life for those of us who are extremely sexually active. | M | 26 | 3 days | 10/2/2017 | 4 | Anogenital warts | Wow, I mean first and foremost this stuff works but OMGGG the pain and agony, I'm not sure I could go through it again!!! I swore never to have sex again coz even with condoms you can still get it! It burnt me, left me all red, peeing was so painful, I didn't even want to do a poop Coz just the stretching of the muscles would almost feel like the skin was tearing. Anyways I got through the three days and it was really eating through my skin, was hard sitting down, walking and peeing was stinging! After day 3, I went back to old methods of cleaning a wound, warm salt water with cotton wool and gently wipe there, about 3 cotton pads, then pour the rest of the warm salt water over the wounds, gently pat dry with a fresh clean cloth and apply vaseline to the area. The wiping with a cotton pad soaked in warm salt water helped to remove rotting skin! It all smells terrible but just gently clean each day to avoid infection. I did it twice a day. By the fourth test day there was a massive improvement, but that's coz I really took care of the wound. Guys only put it in the warts and put very very little!! | Be strong it works! And just thank God it's not like herpes or anything. Use a mirror to apply it and use a very little bit! | F | 27 | 3 days | 9/22/2017 | 5 | GW | Redness/Irritation | I started getting GW when I was 26, probably due to wet shaving around the base of my penis. This was also where the GW were showing. The nurse told me any broken skin or cuts would cause a good environment for warts to develop. I had Cryo which did not work in the long term, only short term and aldara made no difference at all. This product was recommended by the doctor. I first started using it and applied twice a day over 3 days. I noticed a slight sharp raw pain. On day 4 I had incredible irritation and swelling around the whole area. I was concerned, but after reading various comments found this to be common so just made sure I moisturised around the area. The first cycle formed scabs on the warts, which used to happen with cryo, but the sensation was different, almost like the medication was getting deeper into the problem. The second cycle was much better so there was only slight irritation and no redness anywhere but where the warts were. The third cycle completely removed the warts, each time creating a scab on the specific region. Despite initial irritation I prefer this to other treatments as it can be self-administered and is straight forward to use. The redness subsides after extended use. I also have the bottled liquid which seems to go a long way, so it should help me keep check on any returning warts. I hope that I can sustain a long period without any however, and I am aware that the medication also aids suppressing regrowths. Walking is even a struggle because of the pain, i almost feel like I'm limping just to alleviate the pain ever so slightly. | I have used it before and it has honestly worked wonders. I first discovered my warts in October 2016, soon after my summer travels with my best friends and being foolish and having unprotected sex - I have definitely learnt my lesson :(. However, speaking to nurses, reading forums etc makes me realise how common it is, which does make me feel more at ease. I have tried Aldara cream - didn't work. I have had intense courses of freezing, worked temporarily but didn't get rid of the warts like Condylox/Cordyline liquid does. This treatment worked wonders for me as my skin is healed completely and my life is back to normal.. I did this for about 5days and I'm better. Stay safe | F | 26 | 3 days 2X day | 11/23/2016 | 5 | HPV - penis | Got these in college way back when, so I've had forever. Bad news - it's a virus, so you'll always have it. Good news - very common, you can have long stretches of time w/o them. For some people, they never return. Few key things to note: a weak immune system and stress will not help the healing. I know it's hard, but you're not alone. Smoking and drinking do not help. I don't smoke, but if I drink alot, I sometimes get an outbreak. Be healthy. Eat well. Less Is more. Apply ONLY to the wart. It is corrosive. LET IT DRY. I find 10-15 min enough time. The burning/rawness doesn't happen to me until day 3 or first rest day. Painful, but it gets rid of warts every time. I have tried cryo/freezing them off - this worked the first time or two, but only with isolated warts. I had a cluster and that seemed to make it worse. Condylox gel works best for me, but everyone is different. I've had lots of partners and lots of unprotected sex (right or wrong). Do not have sex when you have the warts. Period. If casual, no warts, wear a condom. If starting a relationship, condom and disclose you have it. Some are ok with it, some not - but you'll feel better you've done the right thing. BTW - my recurrences are much less. Maybe one wart a year, if. Same spot as my first wart years ago. I have also gone years without having any warts. Be healthy and happy. It helps. Oh, and regardless, it may sound funny, but I do check daily if I'm in a relationship. Now I have visited another Dr and he prescribed condylox for I start using it 3 days ago and now start the first resting day I have not noticed big deffitence but some of them shrieked and became smaller ( I have now 12-15) some of them very small and the same old 2 are big .i will give it try and update . The gel once applied feels like a acid burning through my flesh and i let my boyfriend apply it and he held me while balled my eyes out because I felt as if my vagina was going to completely fall off. The worst pain of all is the scrotum. If you have warts on or near the scotim expect a lot of pain. Random pains that will stop you in your tracks.
