I handled this drug ok, when I was in my 30's. I took it in conjunction with a muscle relaxant (Flexeril). Now, years later, I have tried it again for severe headaches and shoulder pain etc. from a violent neck injury. Even taking it just once makes a world of difference! It handles my pain better than major perscription pain relievers. However, the side effects are the worst leg cramps imaginable. Sometimes it takes days for the cramps to show up, but they do, and can come and go for over 2 weeks. It is really too bad, because the drug worked great when I was younger, and kept me together until I could have the surgeries. | If you find that you can tolerate this drug, you are fortunate because it makes a huge difference in your ability to live your life if you have something really wrong with you...and this is your option for the short term...just do NOT take even one more than you absolutely have to, because I think you can reach a "tip over" point, and then, like me, you can't take it anymore. Take it with food and lots of milk, and don't lie down for an hour at least.
