However, toward the last few weeks of the 3 months I have been taking this medication(have been on it for 3 months), I have been feeling exceptionally light-headed and dizzy right after taking a dose. This lasts for about 1.5 - 2 hours, and like others have noted, feels like you are on a roller-coaster/naseaus/motion sickness. Then I had obsessive type thoughts about bugs. I did not see or feel bugs but just thought about them all the time. I worried there might be bugs in my food, even my kids' hair and beds. I knew that there were no bugs, I just couldn't stop thinking about them, so more like OCD than psychosis. It effected my appetite to the point I was hardly eating. Severe diarrhea for 10+ days. Bad reaction and will never take again. Took 2-3 days for all symptoms except diarrhea to subside after I realized the connection. | I see now that there is some evidence that this drug can make underlying mental health problems worse. Prescribers and pharmacists should really be aware of this potential reaction or effect. Then all of a sudden I felt like a was going to vomit. Sitting down felt worse and standing made me feel like a was sleepwalking but if I stopped moving I felt worse again. I had an urgent bowel movement after about 45 minutes but sitting down to do so brought on more woozy dizziness. I paced for 3 hours, sipping ginger ale and every once in a while nibbling on a cracker. The other reviews talking about an out of body experience make sense now. I didn't have any raise in blood pressure or heart rate. I've never had this reaction from medication before. During my last gout attack, I took it on the weekend and spent a lot of time on the couch. My vision was off again and I could not concentrate on anything. One odd side effect that I am looking for guidance on is that I seem to wake up during the night with sexual arrousal. Strong erection, but I am almost in a half sleep state. The ejaculation is very intense. The sexaul experience is most always enhanced extremly exciting. This has caused concerns with my spouse due to our limited sex life we have.
