DEXEDRINE  (DEXTROAMPHETAMINE SULFATE):  This medication is used to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder - ADHD. It works by changing the amounts of certain natural substances in the brain. Dextroamphetamine belongs to a class of drugs known as stimulants. It can help increase your ability to pay attention, stay focused on an activity, and control behavior problems. It may also help you to organize your tasks and improve listening skills. This drug is also used to treat a certain sleeping disorder (narcolepsy) to help you stay awake during the day.  3  ADD/ADHD Severe dry mouth and bad taste in mouth. Got worse with time. I'm considering stopping the medication because of this. Helped me get through a few months of my final year of university. Worked best in conjunction with the longer effects of Adderall. Took about 30-50mg Adderall in the morning and it was effective for about 7-8hrs. Then took 10mg of Dexedrine in the afternoon and 10mg more in the evening. Dexedrine's effects would last about 4hrs. M 23 2 months

 4  Bi-Polar w/Chronic Deppresion Dry mouth, decrease in appitate, energy, energy, energy! After taking it for a long period of time, it's no longer effective, unless you exceed the prescribe amount. F 3 years
